This is a very easy and pleasant program! Just get the Gondola First, which departs from the top of Grindelwald’s little town. The capacity of each gondola is for 6 passengers. Finally, you will get off the gondola at the last station.

For sure this is a beginners hike, easy for children and elderly people. It is only 5.8km long, round trip. Only the start of the trail is a little inclined. After that, the path is flatter and wider. We took about 1h15min on the way up and another 1h15min on the way back.
The trail begins at 2,149m of altitude and the end at 2,300m altitude. The ascend is very small.
The landscape is so beautiful that you will not feel the time goes by! Typical Swiss pastures in the mountain region!

We decided to make a delicious picnic at the mountains. We even took our official checkered towel! Take fruits, sandwiches, water, cake and even a good red wine and rest on the banks of the Bachalpsee. Unique experience.
If you are lucky, you will see many marmots whistling through the countryside! Cute!
Rather than having a picnic, you can eat at the restaurant next to the gondola.

Yes, the Bachalpsee may be the end point of this trail, but the pleasure was present in all its extension. Difficult not wanting to photograph the whole time.
